The International Summer School on Industrial IoT with Examples is designed as an educational program primarily targeting motivated students eager to grasp the principles and techniques involved in developing applications within the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) landscape. The course begins with an overview of the IIoT concept and the fundamental aspects of internet-based data interaction, both in terms of software and hardware.

In IIoT, connected devices exchange data over the internet, allowing communication between machines and between humans and machines.

Participants of this summer school will gain an introduction to IoT and IIoT fundamentals, followed by the development of a project that demonstrates how connected devices can enhance their performance through communication.

By the end of the program, attendees will be able to:

  • Implement IoT and IIoT capabilities on a basic microcontroller,
  • Set up a web server using the Node.js framework and the JavaScript programming language over the HTTP protocol,
  • Leverage web APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) for interaction.

The learning process will consist of lectureslab-based exercisespractical tasksindividual study, and collaborative learning sessions to ensure comprehensive knowledge transfer.
